Geez another year gone eh. 2008 was an interesting
year, Ups and downs, some real achievements and some low points.
Who knows what 2009 holds in store.
The two Golds that survived in the Chub and Suzannah litter
are doing well. This is an interesting pairing, bringing
together some very diverse lines indeed. Looking forward to
watching them mature. Nothing else is in coat, I decided
to clip the blue grey and brown grey babies as I haven't been
grooming them over the cold nights we have had. It really
is their pedigrees that I am excited about so hopefully they
will breed later in the year. All the mated does have missed, we
have had some really cold nights here, so who can blame them?
I will remate them shortly when I feel a change in the weather,
Looking forward to the HUGE Bradford show, held in Harrogate,
next weekend. I wont be showing but will help out on the
National Angora stall and do my usual job as photographer.
I have started to rekindle my Alpaca Stud a little. The old pigs
are too old and fat to breed now so I have some new stock. I
have cleared out my little brick built shed for them so have
room for some litters and to keep some in coat. They seem to be
just as prone as Angoras to failure with lost litters, chewing
coats, mites and fungal problems to boot ! I hope with a few
more to work with I will eventually have the one that I can show
!

Don's Ptarmigan 11 My first Ptarmigan was one
of my first Peruvians many many years ago who had the most
incredible personality. I named this little fellow after
him , |
