Frequently Asked Questions

One of the great things about having a website is that you get mail from all over the World.  I soon realised that many people ask the same questions so I will try and address a few here as and when they come in.

Question:  Do Angoras make good pets.

Answer:  Yes they can make lovely entertaining pets. However, they are by no means easy.  Their coat requires a lot of attention, it also comes away from the animal very easily, so you will have Angora fibre all over your clothes, your house, I even have Angora fibre on my chair at work !

Question: Do I have to clip my Angora:

Answer:  It is possible to keep grooming the coat for a considerable period but once the coat is in moult, believe me you will want to clip it !  it will mat very easily on the rabbit.  Think of Angora Rabbits being more like sheep or Angora goats rather than cats or dogs.

Question:  Will you Export:

Answer:  I am sorry there is just too much involved with shipping rabbits abroad, I really don't have the time. My job, home, social life and 20 plus rabbits, pretty much keeps me busy.  You will bound to have Angoras already in your country so that is the first place to look.

Question: Can I keep two rabbits together.

Two does can live happily together if introduced at an early age. Also a neutered buck and a doe, possibly two neutered bucks may get along.  There are many websites that have more information on this.. get surfing !  There is always the possibility that the rabbits will fight at any time for various reasons.  I keep all my rabbits separately but my does are allowed in the paddock together, they then have the best of both worlds !

Question: How much are your rabbits

Answer:  Angoras can cost from nothing to around £60 depending on the animal and the breeder.  I charge around £15 to £30 which is ludicrous when you consider a pedigree dog or cat costs hundreds of pounds !

However I sell very few Angoras.

I will add to this list as the questions come in .
